Working Holiday Visa

To​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ be allowed to apply for one of these two visas Subclass 417 or Subclass 462, you have to fulfill certain conditions. Here are those that are common for both:

• Age Limit: The applicant of the visa is expected to be between 18 or 30 years of age at the time of lodging the application.
• Common Requirements: The first and most important one is a passport. A valid passport from a country on the list of eligible countries should be in your possession.
• Dependents: It is required that you do not have any dependent children traveling with you while you are in Australia.
• Money: You have to prove that you can cover your living expenses and costs of departure for the duration of your stay. The amount is, in most cases, about 5,000 Australian dollars, not including the funds for a departure flight.
• Health and character: You have to be in good health and have a good character as per Australia's requirements.
• Visas that came before: You should not have previously been in Australia on a Working Holiday (Subclass 417 or 462) visa, except if you are applying for a second or third-year ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌extension.
